I booked a flight from CLT-YYZ-FCO using miles for a biz class seat (Air Canada) and just got notice that the timing and equipment changed. (All flights pushed back 2 hours, 1 hour added to already 4-hour layover and my CLT-YYZ leg will be in Coach instead of Business) I don't travel on United or Air Canada much so I'm curious if I have any grounds to change my award to a completely different flight. (I see a CLT-IAD-FCO available through normal booking)
So I haven’t had a chance to cal, but just got notice that the partner canceled my first leg entirely and put me on a flight out of ORD?!? What’s my leverage now? Will they put me on a completely different flight? Even if there’s no award availability or the other flight is more miles?
