Until about a month ago Bask Bank miles posted as Base Miles to AA, then they began posting as Bonus Miles, no doubt because of Loyalty Points.

As they've proven with that change to Bask Bank, they can change how any partner posts at any time, hopefully in the future they will give some notice when they decide to make those changes and we don't find out about them until after the fact (i.e., when they post to our accounts).
