I thought that the catering had improved at the time, but apparently those cold meals are being served on the longer European flights as well as on the short ones. At no time did I get any crackers with the meals. Anyway, thanks for all of your comments and observations. Going to be starting my next trip this week, but it's off to a rocky start because Lufthansa have cancelled some flights and they never pick up the phone. Oddly, this is my first flight cancellation during the whole pandemic, apart from some flight reshuffles with KLM back in November 2020.
