I stayed here a second time during the first week of January 2022, this time as a party of three. Unlike my first visit, I was acknowledged as a Diamond member and given an early 12-noon check-in and a late 12-noon check-out (11:00 am is the normal check-out time at this hotel). The hotel was not as busy as I expected for this time of year, which was fine by me, as it was much more crowded on my first stay, which limited my executive lounge access. I had wanted to try one of the hotel's Japanese restaurants on the first (ground) floor but alas I did not as others were not very hungry and we found enough to eat in the executive lounge.

The hotel's service was excellent, we were met by a staff member at the entrance (who also spoke excellent English) who took us upstairs to check-in on the second floor and guided us to our room while providing friendly personalized service. We went to the executive lounge for afternoon tea and snacks and then again for cocktail hour from 5 to 7 pm. At cocktail hour, though no beer is available in the fridge (only non-alcoholic), we were asked if we wanted a draft beer, which I did, and it was brought to our table and you could ask for a refill. Curry rice and vegetable soup were available and more than sufficient to keep us full. Red and white wines of the Rothschild brand were on ice but unfortunately very flat but there was one excellent sparkling white wine that saved the day. In the morning, we also had breakfast in the executive lounge but it is also available in the second-floor restaurant (where I ate it on my first stay) for diamond members, though the lounge breakfast was virtually the same and is fairly extensive. After breakfast, we used the hotel's public hot bath (sento) with a dry sauna and cold bath, and we were the only ones using them on both the men's and women's sides. This was very relaxing and a great way to end our stay.
