I am noticing recently that changing a ticket or reservation online is almost impossible. Recently, every time I attempted to change my reservations online I get a message telling me that I need to call reservation!
So it's now allowing me to make changes, about 12 hours after I noticed it at first. This is obviously massively inconvenient, but better than waiting for 4 hours. The twitter idea recently mentioned would of course help with that.
That said, my flight was so jumbled that my outbound flight is now actually showing up as two separate flights to be changed, so I'm getting errors when I attempt to change it myself. Because of this complexity, also going to just wait for the callback from AA to speak with someone directly.
