When I last flew First (2019) the cheese was listed as a cheese plate in its own section.
Did you try to have both?
I just checked my menus from June/July and it's listed under desserts, but you'll notice not in the same heading as the 3 dessert options. I was offered both on both trips. So I don't think anything has really changed and we're going off 1 data point compared to loads of people getting the normal choice of both.
