On a BA operated flight you booked on a long haul HBO fare you get no checked bag allowance at all. This applies even for status passengers I am afraid. I guess the reference post perhaps doesn't include the caveat that it doesn't apply to HBO fares.
Thanks KARFA. Basically, i would need to avoid BA operated segments in order to benefit from luggage allowance on basic economy OW fares? AA, AY, IB operated should be fine?
