My AMEX Platinum $695 renewal just hit (early Jan 2022) and I'd like to squeeze out the last of the value before I cancel the card. This is a vanilla Plat AMEX which I've replaced with a Schwab Plat AMEX. I'll be keeping the Schwab card. What is the last date I can cancel the card and get the renewal fee reversed?

I've squeezed out all the value I can expect for the $200 FHR credit. If I book something now and prepay before canceling, will I get the credit? Or do I need to hold the card through the hotel stay. I've already gotten my Saks and Southwest credits for 2022.
