if one is asking if this is a luxury hotel or a “hilton”, it’s absolutely a hilton

good hardware, standard soft product. Tries very very hard to look good but to be a luxury hotel they try to be they need to hire around 3x to 5x staff, which is unrealistic. Also though it’s brand new, overall the designs lacks of a taste — comparing to the hyatts around this area. The entrance and the long road with infinite number of speed bumps is definitely bummer.

overall, a solid A/I experience and outstanding values to burn those certs. But it stops there. We went to the grand hyatt playa de carmen for another two days. Let’s say — they probably spend same amount of money in each of the rooms while the GH is much dated. But the taste, the design, the overall “iconic” — they are just not on the same level. For this hilton, i’d say, we had fun and a lot of good time. For the GH, i’d say, we had an impressive stay at a local iconic landscape, that will stay in our memories for years. And that’s that difference.
