I agree that this routing isn't ideal, but I live in Amsterdam and have some KLM vouchers to use. In these days of constantly changing COVID requirements, testing windows, etc., I'd rather play it safe and take the direct option. In any event it's a bit of a last minute trip to escape the dreary Dutch weather and seemingly never-ending lockdowns, so I'm just happy to go somewhere warm and without too much extra hassle!
