I believe your assumption is correct.

If my recent experience is anything to go by, arriving at MCT is a breeze. A very smooth, efficient, quick and friendly process.

I assume you have excellent reasons for choosing KL to MCT, or else have no choice, but the airline would be way at the bottom of my list for this route. Annoying stop in DMM, especially in the dead of night on the return; very late arrival time, and very early departure on the way back. And KL's hard and soft product can't hold a candle to WY, especially in J.
