As soon as I got off my United flight in DEL, there was a desk setup that just checks your air Suvida and gives you this stamp that says “7 days self monitor”. Every 50 feet or so as you walk towards immigration, there’s additional security checking that you have the stamp. They will not let you proceed without that stamp. Then once you are past the last person, it's off to immigration which is as usual then you are done. Transferring to domestic was as easy as always been. Once I got to Pune, there was quite literally nothing until after I picked up my check-in bag, at the exit they asked to see proof of vaccination and I showed that and I was out the door. It was around 45 minutes from united arrival to AI Domestic lounge and at Pune, it was five minutes from getting out of the plane to exiting the airport.

edit: fixed a whole bunch of grammar as i wrote this with one eye closed.
Thanks. Makes me think I could comfortably have taken my trip, though for other reasons it made sense to do the last minute cancellation. I suspect BOM is very different based on what I've read, will definitely stick to DEL for the foreseeable future.
