I was able to add my card to Apple Pay immediately and use Apple Pay to purchase tickets. So yes, you can get approved for the card and buy tickets with it right away, but it’ll be a week or so before you have a physical card and/or know all the details needed to use the card without Apple Pay or some other type of mobile wallet.
