Indeed the AC MLL is currently closed. In terms of location both the Senator Lounge and MLL are at the same B42/B43 area these days...not sure about location in years past.
Back in the days when you had to clear security when coming from SIN or JFK the MLL was the closest lounge option (since it's on the 3rd floor after you exit the security checkpoint) hence people recommended going there instead of the SEN lounge. But now that there's no transfer security and you just exit out to the 2nd floor departures area the SEN lounge is more convenient (vs the MLL which is a bit further down and requires going up the escalator)
