Adding to the boarding door geekiness, are there any outstations or indeed any airport/airline that still board from either the right (starboard) side or from doors further back from 2L? I seem to recollect seeing some photos of a BA747 boarding from 1R at JFK as well as seeing numerous KLM wide bodies boarding from cantilevered jetties that spanned the left hand wing to 3L/4L at Amsterdam not too long ago.
