I was unable to find anything from the study I participated in, so possibly the project efforts were redirected or there were other complications. If you want to do some more reading on the subject, the key phrase to search is “fume event”. Based on reports, this seems more commonly associated with Airbus narrowbodies, but is also not uncommon for the Boeing narrowbodies. Some newer generation airframes such as the 787 use electric compressors instead of bleed air and don’t have this issue.
