Yesterday I booked AF for March Travel from India and the agent got me a Z class ticket using GUC on an economy class ticket.She was simply amazing and wouldn’t give up. She was put on hold by another agent for 15+ minutes, but she managed to hang on the call and got my tickets issued. Outstanding service.

Looks like if you are lucky you get a great agent who can get things done. YMMV.
