Given that there seems to be no end in sight to the current crisis at CX and very limited passenger flights operating, what is likely to happen with their slots at congested airports (e.g. LHR) that pre-covid were offering multiple frequencies from, assuming that the slot utilisation rules change? If CX were forced to sell some of their slots at LHR under the "use it or lose it" rule, because they couldn't use them, that could be a major issue for Cathay going forward, since other airlines would snap up the slots quickly and it would be harder for them to get back into LHR. I really do feel for everyone at Cathay right now- I've had so many wonderful flights with them and their staff truly are an asset. I just hope that CX will be able to recover to what it was pre-Covid eventually, truly a wonderful airline
