First to address the point about announcements - the CCR is supposed to be a silent lounge (ie no announcement, unless there is an urgent need), something which I - and I believe many regulars - very much appreciate and hope will continue!
In terms of food and drink, I think that the default is that most people who eat still do so in the dining room, where you'd be taken to a table and given menus for both food and wine. It is of course perfectly possible to eat anywhere else in the lounge, but it's never been the habit to have menus on most tables, so I think that most people who want to eat outside of the dining rooms (and again that's what I do in such cases), just approach any staff member asking for a menu. As the lounge is very small, this is typically easy - notably at the bar, the dining room counter, or the terrace counter and they will bring it to you and follow up to take your order and deliver it.
So in answer to your (rhetorical

) question, it is unlikely that you have become invisible (would be quite a skill I'd love to master though!

), but I think that the CCR staff are used to it perhaps being a lounge where a greater proportion of passengers than usual essentially prefer to be left alone and will make themselves known to the staff if they want something outside of the dining area, so don't be shy to do the same and approach anyone and they'll help!
