Arriving from the US, now red country ==> disembark in L. When disembarking in L, once you exit the jetway, you take an escalator up where you have to pass a door leading to the corridor going all the way along the terminal. I was the 1st to leave the plane and to take the escalator. As it happens regularly, the door was closed. It took 10 min before someone showed up to open this door; It would have been just annoying if we did not almost face a serious safety issue as the platform we were on is quite small and got quickly packed while people were continuing to arrive on the elevator without any left space at the top. People were starting to shout as it was becoming super dangerous for those who were on the escalator.
Once this passed, arriving from a red country means that they check in L your vaccination and ID. But then you take the train to K to the arrival immigration hall where for the 2nd time in 10 min, they check again your vaccine and ID

. Come on, what's the point ???
And then 1hr to deliver luggage. Mais heureusement, comme toujours et plus que jamais en ce début d'année, Paris vous aime !!! ❤️❤️💔
Just curious: Am I correct in assuming your BP was marked "Ready2Fly?"
When I returned from the U.S. in late December, with R2F indicated, no one at CDG asked for anything. In fact, PAF didn't even wait for me to produce my
titre de séjour, as they usually do, just my passport. Certainly no questions about vaccination or test status. I was admittedly escorted as flying F, but still.
I can understand the desire to double check documentation, especially for countries designated "red," yet this raises questions about the point of the R2F system.
Re the baggage delivery issue, I recall for my December trip, the (French) pilot on the outbound leg from CDG blamed the nearly 90-minute delay in departure on problems loading bags from connecting flights because of what he characterized as "typically French" staffing problems. When I returned to CDG two weeks later, my AF escort explained the nearly hour-long delay at the baggage carousel as due to staffing shortages caused by COVID absences. As we probably all know, this has become the current catch-all explanation akin to "supply chain disruptions."
