Not sure if this makes sense, but I can access BA.Com and go to Avios. However, when I try to access merchants such as Fortnums, or Lets Eat, or anything else for that matter, Whether I'm using Edge, or Firefox, I get the first response 'Bad Request.' or if I persist, then I get sent to what appears to be the employee access site, with the response -
Problem with your request
- There may be a problem with this page. Please try again.
- If the problem persists, please check the Im Service Centre page and then report a fault if necessary.
- You should copy and paste the details below into your error report.
- Server: oauth.baplc.com Request ID: YdbfR6OmzyQAADi4G9cAAABF
- Alternatively please click the back button or go to Employee Self Service.
And no matter how I try I cannot get any reply from anyone at BA, or Avios for that matter. All the phone menus default to recordings giving reasons due to Covid, etc. Quelle Horreur! Mon Dieu!
I'm a tottering old Priest and not particularly at ease with the miracles of Modern Technology. But I'm still waiting for the refund into my Avios account two flights which I was refused access to at LHR due to a 24 hour earlier ban on UK Citizens accessing Bulgaria. That was on 16 August, where I used Avios for the LHR-SOF 'C' class flight and a 'C' Class flight SOF-OTP two days later on QR Qatar Airways. Again, it appears virtually impossible to speak with anyone any more.....
If anyone could offer some substantive advice I am sure you will be richly rewarded in Heaven, just probably not by BA though!
May all your journeys be ones of Discovery!
