For the record, and for the benefit of any members of Flyertalk not yet on BA's mailing list, this is the email from whence this all originated.

The word in question is within a hyperlink to BA's magazine for the airline's passengers, High Life. The story in High Life - which is an interview with an Irish actress - does not contain the abbreviated word for inspiration.

My inbox has a lot of emails from travel companies and many other sources. I have had only three emails in total that use this term. The other two are nearly identical emails originating from Avanti West Coast, the railway company, on 3 and 6 December 2021, and that is an even more egregious example, in my view.
