Regarding typos, PUCCI GALORE , I think we all know how they happen and blasted autocorrect doesn’t help. It seems to have a penchant for the grocer’s apostrophe. Note, I am assuming that phrase refers to a single grocer but if it is meant to be the plural I do apologise wholeheartedly.
However, typos from corporate communications should be corrected in the proof reading process and to not do so indicates a lack of concern for the image projected and for the customer. I’m old fashioned enough to think that grammar and spelling both matter and we should all try.
Darling, exactly. Unless I am told to the contrary my posts are not being used for publicity material. Secondly, I am such a fan of « Line of Duty » that any lapses of grammar and spelling would be forgiven. That is the crème de la crème of television. What this mail and publicity stating what Britons care to eat is more like the yogurt. Faced with a choice of cooked to Cinders pork or Chicken Tikka is a choice between the bad or the worse. English bland being in competition with English exotic would have been unimaginable and referred to gushingly and patronisingly as Britons’ favourite gets zero points from me.
