I started with the gifted 3750 PQP, and did not fly in Q1. In June and July, I moved some trips from more convenient WN/AS to UA, and earned another 3750 PQP from the "Pick your path" promotion, which turned out to be not needed at all thanks to the "Fly to the Finish" promotion. For FttF, I started with buying F for the flights that I normally would just buy Y and hope for CPU or TOD upgrades. As we get closer to the end of the promotion and still no international flight possible for me, I ended up with an MR run - bought a J ticket for about $1500 on a 2-hour weekend trip to make up the 3000 PQP and requalified for 1K this way.
