Don't disagree. However them on a commercial airline flight i believe is. Normally they were either air force or a charter flight (which might even be operated by a commercial carrier, but wouldn't be a scheduled flight where tickets were sold)
I did see one on a KLM flight from DUB to AMS in October 2020. Escorted onto the flight in DUB by the Gardaí, met in AMS by the KMar.
