My boyfriend and I are scheduled to fly JFK-SCL next week with confirmed SWUs for the roundtrip. He's come down with COVID and we're not going to be able to make the trip. From what I've gathered reading this thread (and please correct me if I'm wrong) is that (1) if I cancel the trip, the 4 SWUs will be "refunded" and placed back into my account, but they will be given the same expiration dates as before (June 2022 in this case).
(2) I've also gathered that if I were to reschedule the trip to flights in the future with SWU availability (C space) at the time of the change, then those SWUs would automatically roll-over to the new flight? Is that right? Sorry for the novice questions and/or if they've already been answered before. Just a lot to process before a trip I was very much looking forward to and I've never had to cancel a flight in the past where an SWU was already confirmed.
