You will have a choice onboard of the not so lovely turkey sandwich or mozzerella sandwich, or pimento cheese sandwich or turkey pastrami sandwich, or if you are really unlucky the wheatberry salad or the steak salad. All will be cold and unappetizing and be wrapped in plastic. No preorder available because AA doesn't know ahead of time which option the caterer will buy from the gas station down the street the night before the flight.

The only domestic flights currently getting decent meals are the premium transcons and the longer Hawaii flights, and for some reason only some of those flights have pre-order but not all.
