In late Juyt my wife, son and I were visiting family in Providence and were supposed to fly home, one way, on Delta PVD-DTW-LAS.

Due to mechanical problems the PVD-DTW flight was delayed two hours such that we would have missed the connection, so the lady at the gate rebooked us PVD-ATL-LAS then next day.

Got our bags, went back to my sister's house for the night, flew the next day. Incurred some meal expenses the next day and didn't have anyone to pick us up in LAS when we arrived a day late so $80 for a taxi.

Wrote to Delta and said we had $172 in expenses and I'd like to be reimbursed that amount, or in the alternative, get a $400 credit.

Today they sent me travel credits for $400 . . . each. That's $1200 total. I'm pleased with that resolution.
