Exactly. I may well have missed threads mentioning this situation (after all, the BA forum is very lively!) but I for one was assuming that the systematic release promise was meant to be 1) current and 2) universal and thus imagined that when I couldn't get seats, it was because I had just missed the release and someone had jumped on them first (I don't tend to do the "first thing at midnight at d-355" thing). However, your experience seems to suggest that either 1) or 2) of my assumptions (or both) are mistaken so I do think it is a very useful thing to elucidate.
