At this stage, I think it might be worth remembering that the OP asked a fairly simple, legitimate, and important question in the first post of this thread: Had BA not pledged to open a certain number of award seats (again, 4, 2, and 2 in economy, premium eco and business fi I remember?) on every flight network wise?

To go back to that, Just checking that msm2000uk tried the bookings for 2 seats only as you mentioned the kids? (obviously, if you checked for 3 or 4 and there are only 1 or 2 left, it would show as unavailable)? If so, and this returned no availability at all, then it would seem to me that they do not (something I always suspected when looking for award seats between London and Nice on the worst weekend in May or July-August) and wonder if they have planned specific exceptions?

I do think that the question is relevant and important and has nothing to do with the question of what the OP might or might not decide to do if the award seats are not an option, which in my view is no ground for anyone to get personal or double guess his mind-frame or motivations.
