I have done this sector a couple of times, end of last year. I did AC and then bought the PE from AC. QR does not have the PE. Not much fare difference in PE to the EC. If it is QR metal then it is from YUL to DOH to MLE. With AC it is YYZ to DOH to MLE. DOH to MLE on QR EC. The waiting time at DOH is fairly long in this case.
