My GE was NOT revoked (the agent said I may not be able to renew but it's completely dependent on the agent who reviews my app). I obviously will be honest about what happened on the renewal app. But I just realize there's a very high chance I will be denied renewal and I will lose TSA precheck as well. I have a trip to Tahiti this April and debating if I should just reapply for TSA. If I get denied, will my TSA and GE still expire in August?
Ok - let's define some terms.
Global Entry - expedited entry into the US. GE members are automatically eligible for TSA Precheck by virtue of their GE membership.
Standalone TSA Precheck. A separate program operated by TSA - has a separate application process and a separate Known Traveler number (KTN).
Anyone may apply for the standalone TSA Precheck program.

My suggestion: Now, apply for the standalone TSA Precheck program - presumably your application will be accepted, and you'll be given a TSA Precheck KTN. Wait until much closer to your GE expiration date and then submit a renewal application for GE. If GE renewal works, fine. If not, just start using your new TSA Precheck KTN instead of your GE KTN in your airline reservations.
