If you cancel an award booking, every other airlines put your miles/points back to your account and refund you the tax payment back to credit card.

but JetBlue confiscates your payment and puts your tax payment to travel bank to use it or lose it within a year from ticketing. Does that even make sense? I don’t understand why it’s ok for other airlines to refund $5.60 tax on cancelled award booking but not JetBlue…?
