So I did some research and found the eupgrades pdf and printed it off.

On a North American flight purchased in Economy Comfort:

"M" class bookings require 2 eupgrade points (1501+ miles) moving from Economy Class to Business Class.

U or H class require 6 eupgrade credits and

QVWGSTLAKF require 8 eupgrade credits.

Let's assume the flight is narrow body with no Premium Economy and let's assume I pay the extra $125 to buy the "Comfort" Economy ticket so that I at least have a preferred seat if no upgrade is available.

I chose some random dates in Feb on the AC website and followed the booking all the way to the payment page but it still didn't tell me what class I'd be buying.

How do I know or how can I choose what Booking Class that Comfort fare will be?

Ideally I'd like it to be M.
