Will be e50k for 2022. 40 eups plus the 30 rollover from E35k this yr w/ AmexAP reserve.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are?
YVR-HNL/OGG for me and my fiance.
Have a buddy pass to use

Comfort fare: $1200 total for 2 + 8 eups pp per direction can reserve 10d ahead
vs
Lattitude: $2800 total for 2 + 2 eups pp per direction but can reserve right away in J.

Just curious thanks for all your wonderful opinions!
Did you end up doing this? Did your eups clear as expected? <OR does anyone else have any data points of utilizing a buddy pass then e-upgrading?>

I'm looking at booking a trip this winter - the lie-flat seat is ~$2,500 booking direct in Business/Lowest = ~$5,000 for two people, vs. ~$2,600 in Economy Latitude for me + $0 for my guest BUT I can use a Buddy Pass...add-on 8 eups for the upgrade...looking at the T&C's for the Buddy Pass I don't see any restrictions on me being able to do this?
