The new seat looks great on Instagram, but with the exception of the single traveller its a down grade IMHO, in bed mode is simply not as comfortable as the old club seats... there is a noticeable "lump" where the seat goes flat.

To add to the list, you can no longer sit together as couple and can barely talk to each other through the 1970s ktichen hatch that you can open between the middle seats, for couples its bad, but for families its worse, no idea why they didnt just modify the very popular qsuite... im actually happier in the old seat when i travel with wife/family..

I should say the bigger screen and storage is a great plus.. but thats it...
I share this view and so does my other half.

We travelled LHR BGI and back a couple of weeks ago. O/B we sat in 7E and 7F and we stunned by how detached we were from each other.

Whenever I made a move to talk to her, she placed both elbows on the dividing bulkhead and said "can I help you sir?" It really is like trying to chat to someone in a ticket booth at the cinema! (or a 1970s serving hatch, as mentioned above)

It was that disappointing that we changed seats for the return and sat one behind the other in 20A and 21A.

Fine for solo travellers but not good for a couple at all. Definitely prefer travelling in old Club World with company.

The fixed part of the divider seems to be an issue as much as the sheer distance of the seat backs from each other. We both agreed that it would be better if it could be removed completely.
