I have an odd experience to report. I ended last year with a couple of dozen (roughly) e-upgrade credits in my account. While some of them were set to expire on 31 December 2021, I was led to believe that the expiration date for these credits had been extended to 15 January 2022. Additionally, as I hold a black Aeroplan credit card, I would have expected them to be extended past 15 January 2022 to the end of 2022 at a minimum as a perk of holding that kind of credit card.
Lo and behold, I logged in to Aeroplan just now and all of them appear to have been deleted today save for the five I had selected as an early status recognition benefit. Now, I know that coding the Aeroplan systems to accommodate all of these changes has likely been a nightmare and that Air Canada's IT department has a reputation, whether deserved or not, of making a hash of things, but does anyone know what is going on with these credits? Has anyone else noted that piles of e-upgrade credits seem to have unexpectedly disappeared from their Aeroplan accounts?
