I was searching for flights on the QR website and noticed there was no listing of any restrictions on travel form southern Africa on any of the alerts (at least none linked from the main page). I also searched for pages mentioning "South Africa" and selected "Show more results" twice and saw nothing relating to any travel restrictions.

I tried doing a dummy booking for a one way from JNB to DOH and was able to see flights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this upcoming week.

I am not saying that the restrictions are no longer in force. Just that it was my experience prior to this that the restrictions on travel from southern Africa were prominently posted on the website and I could not do a dummy booking from JNB to anywhere.
