I think HV messed up. They shouldn't have sold this Flex option on a FB award ticket. Likely this is why FB can't help. They likely have no control over ticket now that HV has reissued/ revalidated it.
The ticket was purchased and a confirmation with booking number issued through the Transavia website, which offers an option to use FB miles and buy a "FLEX package". It was a fairly easy process.
But here as promised an update:
I was finally able to get hold of a supervisor (or someone superior) by phone at HV (Netherlands) at their +31 phone number.
She was able to explain that my ticket is changeable - not cancellable without losing the miles plus the fee portion.
I am now waiting until the last moment for involuntary changes or cancellation. If not, then I have hopefully a chance to change the date. Not a big problem since I fly the particular route on a regular basis.
The ticket in question is a OW AGP-AMS that for some reason wasn't available for a particular date in one itinerary US-AMS-AGP-AMS-US.
Most confusing issue to me is that there is no ticket number - apparently HV doesn't seem to issue one. Solely the booking number is required for any issues.
Perhaps at check-in a BP with 074 ticket number will be generated ?
I have to admit that I'm a novice to Transavia and will have learned my lesson.
Perhaps someone in the know can comment on the ticket number issue ?
