What makes it even more interesting is that the rebooked flights have the same flight times/dates but have had their flight numbers changed from BA5051 & BA2408 to BA4679 BA4767 but despite there being no changes to the time or date I have this message in MMB: "Your new itinerary is below. You can review and accept this itinerary or find a different flight." - But I have to call and cannot review/change this online
That's the usual AA timetable restructuring, they will do this a few more times, including tomorrow, since certain Sundays are used for their workload restructuring. These changes then temporarily break the codeshares, and in a few cases they will heal automatically when the codeshare gets put back. Just check the ticket is properly issued!
Given the above, I'd do absolutely nothing until about a week before you have to make a decision since the more cancellations the greater your flexibility. But this looks like DUB-LAX to me, so one solution, particularly if you get more cancellations, is to make it DUB-[lots of new places]-LAX later on in the year for example.
