In the unbelievably unlikely event that you're at an exit row in an emergency landing where there has been damage but you have survived, I promise you Delta will not sue you for damages if you throw that door out the window, slide it somewhere out of the way, or place it on the floor - as long as you get out quickly and others have clear egress.
