I did this about five years ago, but no longer recall whether this Extra Mile bonus was based on 50% of the 500 mile minimum for quick trips, or on the shorter distance.

I was complaining to CO about why I only got like 40 or 50 something miles on an interisland Hawaiian Airlines flight. Oh well, if you still max out at the 15k than you're ahead.
