I think that I requested 10 upgrades for myself and 2 for my wife. All of them cleared to J. Most of them cleared in advance, though 2 were at the gate - even when there was R space in advance. Most of my flights were booked within the upgrade window so that I could choose my flights based on upgrade availability. There is no way that I would expect this to be normal!
