I think the TRC is a joke. I tried it on both my intl flights, and it never got me to issue my boarding passes. When I tried it kept saying see gate agent for document verification even though I got a text message (immediately after upload) saying they were accepted.
For flights leaving the US, the need for travel docs had some serious issues at boarding time. Huge rush at the gate, those without "travel ready" printed on their tickets had to see the agent which created this mad dash to the gate agent at time of boarding, everyone started rushing the door to board and the agent had zero control. Hah.
