I'm not really into cocoons, but in any case the F seat is only really open to the aisle, i.e. to passing crew or to one of the max 6 other people on your side of the plane, you're not looking at anyone else.. Personally I prefer the way it makes getting a top up far, far, far easier than in J, but appreciate people value different things.
