I'm booked via AA award to fly JNB-DOH-IAD in March 2022 with an overnight layover in DOH. Assuming flights between Johannesburg and Doha are operating as normal in March, my ideal plan is to zip into Doha for dinner and stay overnight in Soug Waqif. If entry into Qatar is not permitted at that time, I have a cancellable reservation at the Oryx Airport which I understand in airside at DOH.

I guess my question is... if I am NOT allowed to enter Qatar, staying at the Oryx should not be an issue, right?
