All the ribbing given to this guy, and he wasn't even complaining that his flight got cancelled - he was recording shock and disbelief that his discount flight went off without a hitch, while the pricier 'premium' segment was cancelled.

In between the joshing, though, you guys did explain it well and now I'm somewhat intrigued. As someone whose experience with Alaska was primarily on dash8s plus a few longer Boeing legs, I had no idea they had Airbus in their fleet. Off to wiki to see how that came about...

Edit: well, that was somewhat less interesting than I imagined - they indeed weren't flying any Airbus when I lived out west, and they'll only be doing so until the leases expire on their Virgin acquisitions. I think I expected some juicy NW drama!
