I 1000% guarantee this was exactly what happened; a small, non-Aisle location pre-printed the rental agreement (thus causing the authorization, NOT charge, on the credit card). When the customer doesn't show, we go into Odyssey and select "Cancel Rental" - reason "pre printed no show". That releases the hold on our end through our credit card processing center but it normally takes 3-5 business days for the renters credit card company to release it from their end. Some banks can take up to 30 days.
