The current rule is if an airline on a particular route carries more than four passengers, who are tested positive on arrival (not the subsequent tests during hotel or Penny's Bay quarantine), within 7 days, and that airline will be banned for bringing passengers to Hong Kong for 14 days. I think CX can't carry passengers from London to Hong Kong now, as well Emirates, Korean Air, and Qatar.
Cathay just had its Toronto and LAX routes stopped for the next 2 weeks.
Meanwhile, I was supposed to be on YVR-HKG last night with AC, instead I sat here sadly watching it depart on FlightAware after scrapping our Thailand trip. Interesting to see two AC YVR-ICN departures a few minutes apart, though - given how strict HKG has been about quarantining pilots, I'm surprised more airlines aren't using a route-through-ICN strategy like AC's.
