All airlines have good and bad days, but DL on average is noticeably better than AA and UA. I don't mind connecting on transcons, and the DTW hub is great. However, I have a lot of PHX flying coming up, some on day trips and having to connect when I go there, or to PSP or SAN isn't worth it, so I've ended up splitting 30 segments a year across five airlines for direct West Coast and Arizona flights. I'm going to stay PM but also go for AS MVPG to consolidate West Coast flying.
